I had the terrible experience of getting up one early morning and finding 3 apple trees, one pear tree and a peach tree stripped of all of the leaves and fruit! Some deer discovered their method into my yard and filled their bellies with my fruit trees. This late night bambi party killed all however one of the apple trees and set me back about $100 in purchasing new trees and unidentified fruit production.
