We all love to be entertained. Whether it's by dining out in a movie, the hottest restaurant, to a concert….this list goes on…..you'll find nothing better than going out with your loved ones and best friends being entertained. Over time, the ways that whatever specific supply of entertainment we choose is marketed to us have changed. Let's take a look at movies especially.

When I was an adolescent, I lived in a small town. We had a one-screen theatre on Main Street. Generally, our town got a film about 2 months after it absolutely was released so, unless we desired to drive on the multi-theater complex 30 miles away, there was to wait. We'd read about the movie in magazines, and we'd begin to see the previews in the media. There was a television show called Siskel and Ebert that could tell us whether the movie was "two thumbs up" or "two thumbs down", truly, we didn't believe them. We watched those critics because they showed clips in the movie.

Today, furthermore we have television previews and magazine reviews of movies, we now have previews within the theater sometimes a year before a movie is released. We have streaming clips online to wet your taste buds to the actual movie. We have actors working the press constantly, and attending premieres across the world. Because from the technological world we are in, we can see it all almost instantaneously through that amazing creature referred to as the world-wide-web. There are websites specialized in movies, you'll find video games created online for many movies. These games can start out free, hooking someone in, at a certain level request a payment of sorts as a way to continue. It all feeds the giant entertainment beast that grows bigger and bigger each year.

Social media plays a large part in marketing the modern theatrical productions at the same time. Almost every major movie includes a Facebook page, a Twitter account (and its own highly popular hashtag) prior to it being even released. Live interviews offering real-time commentary stream complet serie on the internet almost constantly. Essentially, were bombarded using this movie in ways we now have never been before. Is this whether positive or negative? It can be viewed as both. By having more outlets on what to market a film, the entertainment companies are drawing in courses people. This is their goal as increasing numbers of people equals more profit and that ball will just keep rolling. On the flip side, are we over-saturated? Is the usage of multiple social media marketing sites some overkill? Do we have in mind the general plot in the movie before it's even released? Are we spoiled?

Regardless of opinion, social media marketing and real-time commentary is here to stay. How you decide on it is up to you. Me…..I'm that girl that reads the end with the book first, so I'll keep spoiling myself. In fact, there's a motion picture I want to see right now that I have not yet see.
