The lug bolts are grade 8 and 3/8NF. For the rears, I plan to Loctite and will probably tack weld the bolt heads to the brake drum. This will prevent them backing out and spinning if I have to change a tire on the road. The wheel pilots on the same diameter as do the wood spokes. There are large hexagonal standoffs that locate to the machined back of the wheel. For the front hubs, I will use Ford hubcaps as grease seals undel the McLaren caps.
Now, suspend the masked/degreased receiver and end cap from an overhead support. I used 550 paracord as it is strong, cheap and available. Any support such as a broomstick, dowel rod, 2x4 lumber, etc. is OK. With the Hot Coat power unit plugged into a grounded 110V outlet, attach the ground clip to the receiver. I attached mine to the underside of the rear locking pin bushing.
