If you read through Toms post with regards to filtration & Vararam you have just put in the one of the ideal filters on your Corvette. i would hugely recomend this. the install is very easy. idk about the spacer mine didnt come with it but im positive it wouldnt be a problem iether. This turbulence takes place at 1 of the most important parts of the CAI - just upstream of the Mass Air Flow sensor….not a superior thing for maximizing efficiency or overall performance.

Other air is deflected beneath the car or truck, flowing along an engine below-tray and then obtaining mixed with the turbulent flows exiting the engine bay (the air going thorough the radiator has to get out someplace!) and the other turbulence designed by the exhaust and suspension, not to mention the spinning wheels.
For the Steeda Cold Air Intake outside ambient temp was 82 degrees - average coolant temperature was 192.48 degrees. Our air charge temperature for this check with a thirty 2nd information log, was 86 degrees. The Air temperature differential was a mere four degrees above ambient air temperatures.
Fit isn't as excellent as I would like but it performs as advertised and sounds fantastic. Quibble I had was with a portion of the hardware not staying shipped with the consumption. Had to wait two weeks to get a set of bolts and gave up waiting on it ever arriving and picked up some grade 8's and washes myself. Guess that is the big complaint, sloppy packaging but it is otherwise a wonderful looking part.
