So I got this consumption from $249.00 Not terrible at all. Plus I had it serious rapid. 2 days! I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado I5 three.5L Extended Cab Z71.
The cold air intake (CAI) was a great deal easier to set up than the exhaust of course. The variation in the unsmooth restrictive surface of the stock air tube and the slick MAC surfaces is astounding. The factory airbox and tubing are incredibly restrictive for airflow into the engine and the MAC kit opens this up to allow far more oxygen in as nicely as carry cooler, denser air from the fender as opposed to the sizzling engine bay air. We had this install finished in significantly less than 1 hour effortlessly.
Performance: MY butt dyno felt a bit greater acceleration at get off and mid to high rpms. Could just be the kick ass sound but i like it. (Unrelated) I raced my uncle in an impromptu race from five-70. He drives a 5.3 Gmc with CAI and chip and i was neck to neck, we had been super impressed.
Our judges loved the Appearance of this cold-air, and most commented that MAC ought to have integrated a total, chromed-up inlet tube (we're absolutely sure one will be on the way.) Add in a excellent Value and surprising overall performance gains, and we believe MAC has a winner with this inexpensive kit. Lastly, right after moving your puppy out of the way, remove the remaining torx screws from the bottom of the bumper.
