SOUND:Holy CRAP! My motor woke up in terms of sound. It sounds so suggest at 2400+rpms. To ME it kinda sounds like a five.3 Chevy v8 but a tiny extra subdued. I really like the sound.

The front side of the air box on the # AFE51-32332 is open, but the filter will not be right behind the grille so rain will not enter the air box when you are driving. The filter will draw air from behind the head light assembly and inner fender wells. I can assure you rain water will not be exposed to the filter at all.

All CAIs trade some filtration capability for extra air movement and the oil sprayed onto this variety of filter has been blamed for muck on the MAF (mass airflow) sensor.
