Pokemon is a series based on the idea that people of all ages can play a handheld game on its own, but they are able to link their collection of games together. However there are more than just pokemon lurking in the shadows, since Team Rocket is out to use the monsters for their own selfish gain.

The anime television show has the greatest influence within the game franchise on the Yellow version. The show's gym leaders are not the only characters that appear in the game, Jesse and James of Team Rocket also show up. This evil duo is accompanied by their own pets and the talking Meowth.

Pikachu also makes the game more interesting with its many emotions that vary depending on how the user plays the game. Since Pikachu walks on the ground and not in his pokeball, the trainer has more opportunities to interact with his small little friend. The times when Pikachu tries to talk with the trainer are quite memorable indeed.

Pokemon, or Pocket Monsters, are here to stay in pop culture and for good reasons too. This franchise has been through much and still is able to come up and release more games without letting the series grow old and stale. Pokemon Yellow is an excellent game for all ages and anyone can find something to enjoy.
