New Bikes From Porsche
So you've got the latest Porsche Cayenne, the trophy wife, the mansion inside suburbs, the labradoodle, enough wine in the cellar to last you through to Christmas 2050?? as well as the holiday home with the sea.

But that which you probably haven't got, is a new Porsche Urban Bike.

Porsche has just released two models, Bike S and the Bike RS.

The RS is short for Rennsport meaning motorsport, go figure.

Both have very stylish good quality componententry, which befits a manufacturer of Porsches standing.

The S version comes with a aluminium frame with carbon fronk forks, gears are given via a Shimano 11 speed Alfine internal hub, which has a double clutch system for smooth gear changes, wheels will be the excellent 29 inch?? DT Swiss, along with the set-up is complete with Magura Disc Brakes and weighs a good 11kgs (24lbs)

The RS version includes a complete carbon monococque frame. It also features carbon stem, handlebars and seatpost. The RS includes conventional 20 speed Shimano XTR gearing, 29 inch Crank Brothers wheels and, Magura Hydraulic Disc brakes complete the setup.??This one weighs in at 9kgs (19.8lbs)

Price wise? Well if you have to ask you almost certainly can't afford it.
But expect to pay $4500US - $7500US for that respective models.

So are these serious bikes or just showroom pieces?
Well obviously I haven't ridden one, but they certainly fit the bill and are both adequately fitted out with good quality componentry, and so they both look stunning.
Porsche happen to be dabbling with bikes since 1999, so there is certainly history there.
And if the are as quoted, chances are they'll are quite reasonably affordable compared to a lot of high end bikes, though they are billed as 'urban bikes', this means they're neither a true road or a genuine mountain bike.

Presumably you would employ one to toodle off down to the local shop to pick up the paper, or maybe into the local caf?? on your morning cuppa.

To be honest I don't think I could trottinette see myself doing that, I'd be to scared of the thing getting stolen while my back was turned.
But as being a status symbol I imagine they will be quite a head turner. Especially attached to the roof with the afore mentioned Cayenne.
I wonder when they are colour co-ordinated to complement the cars?

So for the man or woman who has everything, you will want to get one. If your comfortable driving around in a $300k car then a $7k urban bike probably holds no fears.
