There is not worse than that sinking feeling you get when you realize you've made the wrong choice after buying a costly item, knowing you now are bound to it.



I know you will find folks out there that have felt by doing this after buying laminate floors.



As a laminate installer I need to educate my readers regarding how to make a good option when trying to settle on the best laminate floors.



There are a couple of factors that a majority of consumers don't consider as well as know about after they shop for their flooring.



Based about the hundreds of installations I have done, probably the most important factors will be the locking system. A good locking method is what holds the laminate together and really should be consistent from plank to another. The machining of the locking system can figure out how flush the edges from the planks are when they are connected. And the ability for your planks not to separate. I have seen brands that would develop gaps with time for no apparent reason.



Also locking systems can create a difference between a simple installation or even a difficult installation, especially for the do it yourself installation.



In the perfect world I would love to just install brands that I know are first-rate. But unfortunately most consumers don't understand that laminate floors can vary a whole lot between brands.



The cost can vary depending on where you purchase your laminate. For instance your neighborhood retail flooring outlet cost considerably more than buying online, or maybe the opposite. So compare pricing before hand to save extra cash. The higher the cost of laminate kitchen floors is not a guarantee that it'll be a top quality.



AC ratings also need to be considered, the ac rating is measured on a scale from 1 to , 5 being probably the most durable. I have noticed that even two separate brands with the same AC rating can vary as far as durability.



The thickness is very important also. Laminate is made from 6mm approximately 14mm thick. It can determine how tough the hardwood Peabody MA locking product is. The thinner the planks the less there is on the locking system. Laminate tends to flex when walked on, depending around the flatness of the floor underneath. You will not notice this as much or whatsoever with a 12mm or 14mm product.

Don't misunderstand me some floors can be really bad and must be addressed even if it cost extra to be able to have laminate floors installed.
